Creekside junior linebacker Vincent Correale forced one fumble, recovered two others and returned one for a touchdown against Tocoi Creek on Friday, Sept. 11.

The stat line earned Correale a spot on the Florida Times-Union's Week 4 top performers list, published Monday, Sept. 14. Reporter Clayton Freeman highlighted Correale among standouts across Northeast Florida in the weekly recognition.

Correale's three turnovers helped the Knights roll to a 38-17 victory over the Toros. Creekside's defense has been a talking point all season. News4JAX noted in a Week 3 preview that coordinator Aaron Lynch's defense performed well against Nease in Week 1 and was in control against Fleming Island before a couple of fourth-quarter touchdowns tightened the final score.

On the other side of the ball, the Knights have leaned on quarterback Rozzi Sperry and wide receiver Timmy Goodrich. The Creekside football program also recognized running back Davis Baldwin as its internal Knight Time Player of the Week for the Tocoi Creek game, calling him the team's most physical offensive player in a post on X on Sunday, Sept. 13.

Creekside sits at 3-1 and landed in the News4JAX Super 10 "Keep an eye on" category for Week 5. The Knights are a Class 6A program.

The schedule gets tougher immediately. Creekside a hosts Bartram Trail, also 3-1, at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18. The Bears are coming off a 30-7 loss to Fletcher in Week 4. The Florida Times-Union flagged the rivalry matchup as one of the week's top contests.
