The FHSAA will reveal the 2026 girls volleyball state championship brackets on Oct. 17 at noon.
The Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) announced the bracket release show on X on Wednesday, Sept. 16, saying the show will map the path to the 2026 state championships. The association did not specify a streaming platform in its post.
For Bartram Trail and Creekside, the announcement sets a clear target. Both programs will learn their playoff seedings and first-round matchups that afternoon.
The Florida Times-Union's Week 5 power rankings, published Sept. 14, placed the regular season at its halfway mark across Northeast Florida. Beachside led the rankings at 9-0 in District 2-6A.
Bartram Trail has been tested in recent weeks. The Bears beat Creekside in four sets on Sept. 10, winning 19-25, 25-17, 25-12, 26-24, and took St. Augustine to five sets on Sept. 8, pulling out a 15-10 fifth-set win, according to Jacksonville.com scoreboards. Gainesville Buchholz swept Bartram Trail 25-12, 25-16, 25-20 on Sept. 9. Beachside handed the Bears a straight-set loss, 25-9, 25-12, 25-12, on Sept. 14, according to Jacksonville.com.
Creekside picked up wins over DME Academy and Pensacola Washington on Sept. 12 but dropped matches to Gainesville and Trinity Christian on Sept. 11.
Bartram Trail players Brielle Rivers and Aubrey Ducharme represented the program at a Northeast Florida high school media day on Thursday, Sept. 17. Clayton Freeman of the Florida Times-Union noted the appearance on X.
No First Coast team has won a girls volleyball state title since Middleburg in 2023, according to the Times-Union.
The state championships are scheduled for November in Winter Haven.
