Bartram Trail's girls golf team shot 175 to finish second at the Fletcher Invitational on Wednesday. Creekside's boys squad posted 310 and placed fourth in a 12-team field at Atlantic Beach Country Club.

Nease claims girls team title

Nease won the girls side with a 156, 19 strokes ahead of Bartram Trail. Creekside's girls team rounded out the three-team girls field with a 207, according to Jacksonville.com's scoreboard.

Providence tops boys leaderboard

On the boys side, Providence took the team title at 290 on the par-71 course. Beachside followed at 297 and Episcopal shot 308. Creekside's 310 put the Knights one stroke ahead of Bishop Kenny at 311. Bolles rounded out the top six at 313.

Field included 12 teams total

The Lake City Reporter confirmed the full field included 12 teams. Suwannee finished seventh at 316.

Cole wins individual medalist honors

Providence senior Jack Cole earned individual medalist honors with a 3-under-par 68.

Individual scores for Creekside and Bartram Trail players were not available in published results. Creekside senior Charlie Hipp and Bartram Trail senior Aspen Bikowski were among First Coast golfers highlighted in a Jacksonville.com preseason preview entering the fall season.

Both teams return to action soon

Both programs return to competition soon. The Randy Warren Invitational is scheduled for Monday at the Golf Club of Fleming Island. The St. Johns County boys tournament follows Thursday at Slammer & Squire. FHSAA District tournaments begin Oct. 26.
