The Associated Press projected Republican Byron Donalds as the winner of Florida’s 2026 governor’s race, defeating Democrat David Jolly. AP reported making the call at 9:09 p.m. Eastern on Nov. 3. The result remains unofficial until Florida election officials canvass and certify the vote.

Donalds, a three-term U.S. representative from Naples, will succeed term-limited Gov. Ron DeSantis. Jolly is a former Republican congressman who later became a Democrat.
