Wide receiver Timmy Goodrich tops all Northeast Florida pass catchers with 11 catches for 271 yards and four touchdowns, averaging 24.6 yards per reception, according to the Florida Times-Union's Week 2 stats leaders published Thursday. Four of those touchdowns came in Creekside's 45-28 win over Fleming Island on Aug. 28.
Sperry, Knights Off to Fast Start
Sperry completed 28 of 39 passes across the two weeks. The Knights opened with a 21-14 win over Nease on Aug. 21, then piled up 45 points against Fleming Island a week later.
Bartram Trail's Soares Piles Up Rushing Yards
At Bartram Trail, running back Blake Soares has carried 26 times for 232 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 8.9 yards per carry. The Bears' offense is averaging 354.0 yards per game, split between 409 rushing yards and 299 passing yards through two contests.
Bears Roll Past Tocoi Creek and Middleburg
Bartram Trail opened with a 37-3 win over Tocoi Creek, then beat Middleburg 23-12 on Aug. 28. Kai Kinlaw scored on a kickoff return and Liam Hladun blocked a punt in that game, according to the St. Augustine Record.

Cross-Country Results Highlight Bartram Trail Runners

Bartram Trail sophomore Avery Hartley leads all area girls with a time of 18:13, according to the Florida Times-Union. The paper nominated her for its Girls Athlete of the Week after she placed second in the elite category.
On the boys side, Bartram Trail's Bryce Motycka clocked 16:09 to rank sixth in the area. Motycka finished 14th in the 1,600 meters at the Florida High School Athletic Association 4A state championship in May 2026, according to the Bartram Trail cross-country and track program. Creekside's Eli Scharf posted a 16:21, good for eighth.

Creekside's girls program showed depth at Cecil Field. Eva Delaney (18:57), Emma Godfrey (19:08), Ivey Edgell (19:16) and Hadleigh Roberts (19:30) all placed among the area's top times.

Bartram Trail (2-0) hosts Bishop Kenny (2-0) on Friday. Creekside (2-0) travels to Fletcher (1-1) at 6:30 p.m. Friday, according to News4JAX's Week 3 preview.
