Drivers heading north on Interstate 295 from San Jose Boulevard will need to find another way Monday and Tuesday nights.

Ramp closes for pavement marking work

The Florida Department of Transportation, or FDOT, will close the San Jose Boulevard (State Road 13) ramp to I-295 North from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, and Tuesday, Sept. 22, Action News Jax reported. Crews will install pavement markings on I-295 North during the overnight work, according to FDOT.

FDOT is directing drivers to take I-295 South to Old St. Augustine Road to reach I-295 North during the closures.

Same ramp closed for bridge project

The same ramp and detour were used during Buckman Bridge finger joint replacement work earlier this year, including closures the weekends of July 31 and Aug. 7, according to FDOT District 2 notices. FDOT has not said whether the pavement markings work is part of the Buckman Bridge project or a separate operation.
