St. Johns County residents must register to vote by Monday, Oct. 5, to cast a ballot in the Nov. 3 general election.

The St. Johns County Supervisor of Elections office posted the deadline as part of its 2026 general election calendar. In an Oct. 3 post on X, the office urged residents to register at a county library or online rather than wait until the final day.

Registration closes Monday.

How to register

Online: Visit registertovoteflorida.gov, the state's official registration portal, by Monday, Oct. 5.

In person at a library: Any St. Johns County public library accepts voter registration applications. Libraries are open Sunday, Oct. 4, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. A full list of branch locations and hours is available at sjcpls.org/branch-hours.

At the elections office: The Supervisor of Elections Office at 4455 Avenue A, Suite 101, in St. Augustine also accepts registrations. The office can be reached at (904) 823-2238.

Election Day

Election Day is Tuesday, Nov. 3. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Voters must cast ballots at their assigned precinct.

Other key dates

Early voting runs Wednesday, Oct. 21 through Saturday, Oct. 31, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. According to the Supervisor of Elections website, local early voting sites include the Julington Creek Annex at 725 Flora Branch Blvd. in St. Johns and the RiverHouse at RiverTown at 140 Landing St. in St. Johns.

Additional early voting locations include the Ponte Vedra Branch Library at 101 Library Blvd. in Ponte Vedra Beach, the Players Community Senior Center at 175 Landrum Lane in Ponte Vedra Beach, the Supervisor of Elections Office in St. Augustine and the Southeast Branch Library at 6670 U.S. 1 South in St. Augustine.

The deadline to request a vote-by-mail ballot is Thursday, Oct. 22, by 5 p.m. Mail ballots must reach the Supervisor of Elections Office by 7 p.m. on Election Day to be counted. They cannot be returned to Election Day precincts.
